3/7 Lonsdale St
Canberra
This poky industrial atmosphered coffee shop is all the buzz in Canberra lately. Its a smallish place - long and thin and a bit hard to find other than the queues sometimes stretching
outside - with a long counter down one side and tables down the other side (including some communal ones).
The coffee was excellent. Good flavours and aroma.
Being weak I was also successfully tempted by the cupcakes there,
choosing a chocolate coconut one and a blueberry one. Although I didn't eat them both myself they were both delicious. I had the chocolate coconut cake and it was feather light with great flavours and smooth whipped icing.
Next time I'm keen to try one of the breakfasts or maybe a panini for lunch. Lighter breakfasts are from $5 to $9 with most being $7. The more substantial cooked breakfasts are from $11 to $13 with almost all of them being $11.
Lonsdale Street Roasters is a busy hectic place serving great coffee and interesting edibles. I plan to return and explore some more!
